Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the “11th Anniversary Sale” together with the various interactive games and/or events (the promotional campaign, together with the games and/or events, the “Promotion” or “Game”) being run on the AliExpress Platform (defined below under Clause 4).

1. Promotion and Prizes. During the Promotion Period (see Clause 2 below), Eligible Members (as defined under Clause 5) who satisfy the requirements under Clause 6 shall be entitled to receive certain offers (e.g. AliExpress Coupons or AliExpress Store Coupons etc.) in connection with the Promotion.

2. Promotion Period. Save as otherwise mentioned in the Rules, the Promotion begins on March 24, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) to April 2, 2021 at 23:59:59 (PST time) (the “Promotion Period”).

3. Promoter. Alibaba.com Singapore E-Commerce Private Limited, a company incorporated in Singapore with registered office address at 8 Shenton Way, #45-01 AXA Tower, Singapore 068811 (the “Promoter”).

4. Availability. Save as otherwise mentioned in the Rules, this Promotion is available on AliExpress.com iPhone, iPad and Android Apps, AliExpress.com Android Pad application and AliExpress.com (mobile site only) (all available portals, the “AliExpress Platform”).

5. Eligible Members. To participate in the Promotion, you must be a registered member of AliExpress, except that employees, officers and directors of the Promoter and their respective immediate family members, affiliated and subsidiary companies, as well as any company involved in the Promotion, together with their respective agents, are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. In addition, only natural persons older than 18 years are eligible to participate in the Promotion. The Promotion is not available in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Republic of India, or in any other jurisdiction where the Promotion is not allowed or is subject to specific requirements (the “Non-participating Countries”). The user confirms that the user is allowed to participate in the Promotion and that the Promotion as designed is valid and does not require specific requirements in the jurisdiction the user is based or accessing the Promotion from (the “Eligible Member”).

6. Promotion-specific Rules.

I. Anniversary Super Prize (“Anniversary Super Prize”)

a) Super Prize Promotion Period: March 24, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) to April 2, 2021 at 23:59:59 (PST time)

b) Availability: AliExpress.com iPhone, iPad and Android Apps, AliExpress.com Android Pad application and AliExpress.com (mobile site only)

c) Game description and rules

i) During the Promotion Period, an Eligible Member is required to complete specified tasks on the designated Super Prize game page on the AliExpress Platform (“Task”).

ii) The Tasks will be released in two (2) stages at the date and time as specified below:
A) First stage: fifteen (15) Tasks will be released on March 24, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) (the “First Stage Tasks”); and
B) Second stage: nine (9) Tasks will be released on March 29, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) (the “Second Stage Tasks”).

iii) Upon successful completion of each Task, the Eligible Member will be awarded with one corresponding “badge”.

iv) The First Stage Tasks must be completed by an Eligible Member within the time period from March 24, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) to March 28, 2021 at 11:59:59 (PST time). The Second Stage Tasks must be completed by an Eligible Member within the time period from March 29, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) to April 1, 2021 at 11:59:59 (PST time).

v) If an Eligible Member successfully accumulates ten (10) “badges” from completing the First Stage Tasks or three (3) "badges" from completing the Second Stage Tasks within the time periods as stated at paragraph iv) above, he/she may be entitled to win an AliExpress Coupon in the face value as determined in accordance with paragraphs vi) and vii) below (a “First Stage Qualifying Member” and a “Second Stage Qualifying Member” respectively and the “Qualifying Member” collectively).

vi) The Promoter is offering a total pool of USD 1,000,000 in value, which shall be, at the Promoter's discretion, distributed to two (2) pools available to First Stage Qualifying Members and Second Stage Qualifying Members respectively. Each Qualifying Member shall receive his/her share of the corresponding pool in the form of one (1) AliExpress Coupon per Qualifying Member with a value corresponding to his/her share of the corresponding pool which may be used on purchases which meet a minimum spend of USD 5.01 (or as converted to local currency).

vii) The value of the coupon to be distributed to each Qualifying Member will be determined using the following formula:

A) Assuming the pool available to First Stage Qualifying Members is USD 700,000, to determine each First Stage Qualifying Member’s net share of the USD 700,000 pool, the total sum of 700,000 is first divided by the total number of First Stage Qualifying Members.
B) The net share is then rounded down to the nearest 1 cents. To illustrate:
 If the net share is USD 4.335, each Qualifying Member will receive an AliExpress Coupon of USD 4.33; and
 If the net share is USD 15.888, each Qualifying Member will receive an AliExpress Coupon of USD 15.88.
C) For the avoidance of doubt, the formulas in paragraphs A) and B) above are also applicable in determining each Second Stage Qualifying Member's net share of his/her corresponding pool.

viii) The total number of First Stage Qualifying Members and the value of the AliExpress Coupon to be given to each First Stage Qualifying Member, shall be announced on the AliExpress Platform / the Super Prize page under “my account” page on March 29, 2021 at 02:00:00 (PST time). A First Stage Qualifying Member will be required to claim his/her AliExpress Coupon via the Super Prize page under the “my account” page from March 29, 2021 at 02:00:00 (PST time) to April 2, 2021 23:59:59 (PST time). The total number of Second Stage Qualifying Members and the value of the AliExpress Coupon to be given to each Second Stage Qualifying Member, shall be announced on the AliExpress Platform / the Super Prize page under “my account” page on April 2, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time). A Second Stage Qualifying Member will be required to claim his/her AliExpress Coupon via the Super Prize page under the “my account” page from April 2, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) to April 2, 2021 23:59:59 (PST time). Failure to claim the AliExpress Coupon by the Qualifying Member within the corresponding specified time period would render the AliExpress Coupon void and no substitute or compensation will be provided by the Promoter.

ix) For the avoidance of doubt, regardless of how many “badges” a Qualifying Member was awarded, he/she could receive only one share of the corresponding pool in the form of one (1) AliExpress Coupon at each stage.

x) The value as shown on the Promotion page may be converted to the local currency depending on the Eligible Member’s location, “ship to”, currency and language setting of his AliExpress account:

A) Value of the total pool of USD 1,000,000 shall be shown in Euro or Russian Ruble based on a fixed exchange rate of USD 1.00 to Euro 0.82 or RUB 73, i.e. Euro 820,000 or RUB 73,000,000. However, the value of the AliExpress Coupon awarded to a Qualifying Member under paragraph a) vii) shall be converted from USD to Euro or Russian Ruble with reference to the actual exchange rate of the date on which the AliExpress Coupon was awarded;

B) Thresholds of Tasks which require Eligible Member to complete a purchase of USD 10 or more or USD 100 or more (the “Purchase Tasks”) shall be shown in Euro or Russian Ruble based on a fixed exchange rate of USD 1.00 to Euro 0.82 or RUB 73 as follows:

Conversion to Euro 8.2
Conversion to RUB 730

The above conversion is for reference only. In order to complete a Purchase Task, an Eligible Member is required to complete a purchase that meets the threshold when converted to USD with reference to the actual exchange rate (from Euro or Russian Ruble to USD) of the date on which the transaction was completed. For illustration purposes, if an Eligible Member completes a purchase of Euro 8.2, but the exchange rate of Euro to USD falls below Euro 8.2 to USD 10 on the date of transaction, the Purchase Task would not be seen as completed.

xi) For Eligible Members whose currency set in the system is not USD, Euro or Russian Ruble, the AliExpress Coupon awarded to a Qualifying Member will be in USD.

d) Terms and conditions of AliExpress Coupon

i) AliExpress Coupon Usage Period: All AliExpress Coupons collected by the Eligible Member through the Super Prize shall only be valid for use from March 29, 2021 at 02:00:00 (PST time) to April 2, 2021 at 23:59:59 (PST time).

ii) Use of Coupon: AliExpress Coupon collected by Eligible Member through the Super Prize can be used on AliExpress.com (web and mobile), AliExpress.com iPhone, iPad and Android Apps and AliExpress.com Android Pad application.

II. Energy Lab ("Energy Lab Game")

a) Energy Lab Promotion Period: March 24, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) to April 2, 2021 at 23:59:59 (PST time)

b) Availability: AliExpress.com iPhone, iPad and Android Apps, AliExpress.com Android Pad application and AliExpress.com (mobile site only)

c) Game description and rules

i) During the Promotion Period, Eligible Members may participate in the Energy Lab Game by accessing the designated page(s) on the AliExpress Platform in order to receive (in accordance with these Rules):

A) A qualification to purchase a specified product on AliExpress from the price of USD0.01 (excluding any other costs such as delivery, inspection and taxes) as set out in paragraph b) below;
B) AliExpress Coupons in the face value(s) as set out in paragraph c)iii) below; and/or
C) AliExpress Store Coupons with the usage rules as set out in paragraph d) below,

(each, an “Energy Lab Offer”).

ii) To redeem an Energy Lab Offer, an Eligible Member may select a preferred product (a “Product”) or an AliExpress Coupon as prompted on the “Energy Lab” game page on the AliExpress Platform and commence the “Product Mission” for that specific Energy Lab Offer.

iii) Each Eligible Member can only redeem the same Product once, provided that each Eligible Member can only receive a maximum of four (4) Products during the Promotion Period.

iv) Each Eligible Member can only redeem a maximum of four (4) AliExpress Coupons during the Promotion Period, provided that each Eligible Member may only redeem one (1) AliExpress Coupon with the same usage rules (including, without limitation, value, the minimum spending requirement, period of validity), details of each face value is set out below at paragraph e).

v) Each Eligible Member can only redeem a maximum of twenty (20) AliExpress Store Coupons during the Promotion Period, provided that each Eligible Member may only redeem one (1) AliExpress Store Coupon with the same usage rules (including, without limitation, value, the minimum spending requirement, period of validity), details of each face value is set out below at paragraph f)

vi) The Eligible Member is required to complete the specified tasks on the designated “Energy Lab” game page on the AliExpress Platform (“Task”).

vii) There are eighteen (18) types of Tasks, including signing in, browsing the pages of stores and product details. The [Check in Task] is refreshed every [1] hour. [Daily visit Task] is refreshed every 24 hours at 00:00:00 (PST time) each day. The remaining Tasks are refreshed every 24 hours each day during the Promotion Period, starting from the time the Eligible Member first launches the Tasks.

viii) Upon successful completion of the Tasks, the Eligible Member will be rewarded with “power points”. The number of points awarded varies from the types of Task.

ix) Where the Task involves the Eligible Member sharing with others (“Invitees”) a link (the “Invite Link”) provided by the Promoter for this purpose, the Eligible Member may receive a number of “power points” if the Invitee joins the Energy Lab Game via the Invite Link. The number of points awarded varies depending on whether the Invitee is a new user (i.e. an Eligible Member who has never placed an order on AliExpress) or an old user (i.e. an Eligible Member who has placed an order on AliExpress before the Promotion Period), and is as specified on the event page as the Promoter may in its sole discretion determine, provided that each Eligible Member may only share the Invite Link with five (5) different Invitees and receive a maximum of 2000 “power points” each day in connection with the above Task(s).

x) The Eligible Member is entitled to redeem an Energy Lab Offer (as the Eligible Member has chosen at the beginning of the “Product Mission”) upon accumulating a certain amount of “power points” within the specified time limit for that “Product Mission”. The Eligible Member must redeem the Energy Lab Offer within five (5) days from the day he/she is entitled to do so, after which the Energy Lab Offer will become invalid.

xi) “Power points” accumulated for each “Product Mission” will be cleared when (i) the Eligible Member terminates a “Product Mission”, or (ii) insufficient “power points” are accumulated to complete the “Product Mission” within the specified time limit.

xii) The numbers of Energy Lab Offers are limited, and are awarded to the Eligible Members who complete a “Product Mission” on a first come first served basis. In the event that an Energy Lab Offer is no longer available, the Eligible Member who has commenced such “Product Mission” will be notified that the chosen Energy Lab Offer is unavailable, and his/her Mission progress will be terminated and cleared.

d) Terms and conditions for purchasing specified product from USD0.01

i) Upon successfully completing the “Product Mission” in accordance with paragraph a) above, an Eligible Member is entitled to receive a qualification to purchase a Product from the price of USD0.01 (excluding any other costs such as delivery, inspection and taxes, which the Eligible Member will be responsible for), which can be purchased via a hyperlink provided to the Eligible Member by the Promoter. The Eligible Member may access the prize link to purchase such product via the “Received items” page in the Energy Lab Game.

ii) The link to purchase such product will expire and an Eligible Member must complete such purchase during the Promotion Period.

iii) The price of the specified Product is calculated on the basis of US dollars. An Eligible Member must select US dollars as the currency in the "Settings" page in order to complete a purchase of the selected Product. If an Eligible Member selects a currency other than US dollars, the purchase will not be completed.

iv) In the event that the Product selected at the beginning of the Product Mission cannot be ordered due to policies of different countries or any matters outside the control of the Promoter, the Promoter is not responsible for any damages or claims that arise out of the event.

v) If an Eligible Member uses the qualification to purchase the Product and subsequently cancels the order, returns or requests a refund of the Product, no new link to purchase the Product will be issued and the qualification to purchase the specified product from USD0.01 shall be deemed to have been automatically forfeited.

vi) The Promoter, its agencies and companies associated with the Promotion will take no responsibility for any products damaged, lost, delayed or stolen in transit and will not provide any replacement.

e) Terms and conditions of AliExpress Coupon

i) AliExpress Coupon Usage Period: Each AliExpress Coupon collected by the Eligible Member through the Energy Lab Game shall only be valid for use for from March 29, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) to April 2, 2021 at 23:59:59 (PST time).

ii) Use of Coupon: AliExpress Coupon collected by Eligible Member through the Energy Lab Game can be used on AliExpress.com (web and mobile), AliExpress.com iPhone, iPad and Android Apps and AliExpress.com Android Pad application.

iii) Upon completion of the Energy Lab Game, an Eligible Member is entitled to receive an AliExpress Coupon in the value chosen at the beginning of the Energy Lab Game. The available AliExpress Coupons are as follows:

A) One (1) AliExpress Coupon of USD 1 which may be used for purchases which meet a minimum spend of USD 10;
B) One (1) AliExpress Coupon of USD 2 which may be used for purchases which meet a minimum spend of USD 20;
C) One (1) AliExpress Coupon of USD 4 which may be used for purchases which meet a minimum spend of USD 35;
D) AliExpress Coupon of USD 5 which may be used for purchases which meet a minimum spend of USD 42;
E) AliExpress Coupon of USD 7 which may be used for purchases which meet a minimum spend of USD 65; and
F) AliExpress Coupon of USD 10 which may be used for purchases which meet a minimum spend of USD 100.

iv) The Eligible Member may access the AliExpress Coupons collected via the "My Coupons" page.

III. Exchange Coins for Coupons (“Coin Exchange”)

a) Time period: March 24, 2021 at 00:00:00 (PST time) to April 2, 2021 at 23:59:59 (PST time) (“Coin Exchange Period”).

b) Availability: AliExpress.com (web), AliExpress.com iPhone and Android Apps and AliExpress.com.

c) Game description and rules: Provided that an Eligible Member has sufficient Coins, he/she may at any time during the Coin Exchange Period exchange Coins for AliExpress Coupons. Coins will be automatically deducted once they are successfully exchanged and coupons will be automatically credited to the Eligible Member’s account. However, Coin Exchange, and the AliExpress Coupons which are available to be exchanged through Coin Exchange, are subject to the following restrictions:

i) First-come-first-served distribution: Every AliExpress Coupon available for exchange through Coin Exchange is available to all Eligible Members (provided they have sufficient Coins) on a first-come-first-served basis.

ii) Limited redemptions: The AliExpress Coupons shall be made available to claim through Coin Exchange in limited quantities, where such quantities will be refreshed every hour. In other words, once all available coupons have been fully claimed, an Eligible Member will have to wait until the next hour for the next batch of coupons to become available before he/she can exchange his/her Coins for the relevant coupon(s). The number of AliExpress Coupons available will be refreshed at the following times each day for the duration of the Coin Exchange Period:

A) Minimum spend threshold for AliExpress Coupons: The AliExpress Coupons are subject to a minimum spend threshold in order to be successfully utilised. In other words, the AliExpress Coupons obtained through Coin Exchange may only be used on transactions which meet the specified minimum spend threshold.

B) Maximum number of AliExpress Coupons which may be exchanged and claimed by each Eligible Member: Each Eligible Member may only exchange coins for a maximum number of AliExpress Coupon as set out in the table under paragraph c)iii) below. For example, based on the table below, each Eligible Member shall only be entitled to claim three (3) AliExpress Coupon of USD 0.5 value for the entire duration of the Coin Exchange Period.

i) The available denominations of AliExpress Coupons, as well as the number of Coins required to successfully complete the exchange are as follows:

7. General rules.
a) By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Rules.
b) Any fraud and/or abuse of the offers (e.g., AliExpress coins or coupons) or prizes awarded/received under the Promotion (“Offers”) by you (as determined by the Promoter at its sole discretion) will result in forfeiture of your eligibility to the Offers and/or cancellation of all or part of your account(s) with the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to deduct the value of any Offers awarded inappropriately to you directly from your account(s) with the Promoter without prior notice and/or take any legal action in such instances to recover any outstanding amounts.
c) In the event that the Promotion is ceased or suspended by the relevant authorities or due to serious network attack or system fault, the Promotion may be terminated prematurely. Such situation shall constitute a force majeure event and the Promoter shall not be liable for any damages or claims that arise out of the event.
d) The Promoter is not responsible for any late, lost, delayed, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or undeliverable entries, responses, or other correspondence, whether by e-mail or otherwise.
e) In the event that the Promotion becomes inoperable due to any computer network related reasons, you agree that the Promoter shall not be held liable for any damages.
f) Time and validity of any transactions and/or your eligibility to the Offers shall be determined by the Promoter at it sole discretion based on the Promoter’s record. If there is any discrepancy between the record of transaction held by you and that held by the Promoter, the Promoter’s record shall be conclusive and binding on you.
g) The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Rules as well as to vary or terminate any of the Offers without prior notice. In the event of disputes, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and binding.
h) The Promoter reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to cancel or revoke your right to participate in a Promotion or benefit from any Offers upon discovery of your violation of these Rules or your dishonest, malicious, fraudulent, unlawful or, in the opinion of the Promoter, inappropriate acts in the context of your participation in any Promotion.
i) The participant guarantees that his participation in the Promotion, as well as the posts submitted, do not violate any rights of third parties and are the object of independent creativity. The content of the posts should not contain offensive language, rude words or other expressions of an obscene nature.
j) Participant understands that Promotor shall process his personal data in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Notice in the Annex.
k) By accepting to participate in the Promotion and/or to receive the Offer, the Eligible Member assumes any expenses in which the Eligible Member may incur, except for those included in the relevant Promotion, as well as any liability arising from the picking up and use of the Offer. In addition, the Eligible Member shall be responsible for any taxes arising or expenses not specifically mentioned in these Rules. The Eligible Member acknowledges that the Promoter shall not be responsible for any costs (including but not limited to delivery, inspection, taxes and/or transaction costs) in relation to or arising from receiving of or using the Offer.

8. AliExpress coupons additional terms and conditions. If you receive AliExpress Coupons, AliExpress Select Coupons or AliExpress Store Coupons as Offers, terms and conditions under this paragraph 8 shall also apply.

a) Your account on AliExpress will be credited with the Offer upon you being offered to receive the Offer and your taking of that Offer.

b) All AliExpress Coupons, AliExpress Select Coupons, AliExpress Store Coupons collected by the Eligible Member through the Promotion shall only be valid for use during the relevant usage period stipulated in the Promotion-specific rules under Clause 6 (“Coupon Usage Period”).

c) In the case of AliExpress Coupons, AliExpress Select Coupons or AliExpress Store Coupons as Offers:
i) AliExpress Coupons, AliExpress Select Coupons or AliExpress Store Coupons that remain unused after the Coupon Usage Period or Coin Usage Period will lapse and cannot be refunded or exchanged for anything; and
ii) AliExpress Coupons may not be used for certain regions and/or products and/or shipping purposes as may be decided by AliExpress.com from time to time.

d) Use of any AliExpress Coupons is further subject to the AliExpress Coupons terms and conditions: https://helppage.aliexpress.com/buyercenter/questionAnswer.htm?isRouter=0&viewKey=1&id=20060642&categoryIds=9205400&lang=ru.

e) Conflict of terms and conditions. In the event that any of the terms under these Rules conflict with rules and/or any such related information displayed elsewhere on AliExpress.com, the terms under these Rules shall prevail.
Furthermore, in case of any discrepancy in the context between the English and other language versions of these Rules, the English version shall prevail.

f) Disclaimer. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE PROMOTER BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, DATA, BUSINESS OR PROFITS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROMOTION, WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES FROM ANY CLAIM BASED UPON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, AND WHETHER OR NOT PROMOTER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE.
g) Disputes. You acknowledge and agree that the Promoter or any of its affiliates shall not be responsible, and shall have no liability to you or anyone else for any dispute or claim that arises out of the your participation in the Promotion.
h) Governing law. You agree that this Promotion is governed, interpreted and enforced by the laws of Hong Kong without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any and all legal actions, claims or proceedings arising out of, or in connection with this Promotion must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Hong Kong.

This Privacy Notice applies to “11th Anniversary Sale” and sets out how AliExpress will collect and use the personal data of participants for the duration of this Promotion.

A. DATA WE COLLECT
For the purposes of “11th Anniversary Sale”, AliExpress will collect the following types of personal data from participants:
• Name (first and/or last)
• Username on AliExpress
• [Publicly available [image(s)/video(s)] of] / [Image(s)/video(s)/other content] provided by] the participant on AliExpress
• City of residence
B. PURPOSE AND BASIS FOR COLLECTING DATA
AliExpess will collect this data for the purpose of awarding the Offers to you. Data will be collected and used on the basis of AliExpress’ legitimate interest to serve as platform through which third parties may offer products and services to consumers, including via special offers and promotional activities. As stated in section D below, you have the right to object to this basis for processing your personal data.
C. SHARING OF DATA
AliExpress will only share your personal data with the third-party marketing firms who will be responsible for the direct realization of this Promotion and who are under appropriate contractual obligations to protect the personal data entrusted to them. AliExpress may also share this data internally as necessary for the purposes of this Promotion.

D. STORAGE AND DELETION OF DATA
AliExpress will only store participants’ personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of this Promotion, after which time AliExpress will delete this data.

E. RIGHTS CONCERNING DATA
Participants in the Promotion have rights concerning their data, including the right to access, rectify or erase their personal data, as well as the right to object to or restrict the processing of their personal data. If a participant objects to the processing of his personal data, or otherwise requests restriction or deletion, then the participant will no longer be able to participate in “11th Anniversary Sale ”. Participants also have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of their personal data with the Supervisory Authority.
